Which Free Directories Will Bring me Traffic or PR?

I still got a feeling that some webmasters spend too much time submitting their sites to endless free web directories. In order to perform any task, you need to set a goal. If your goal is to gain PR, you will not submit links to PR n/a or PR0 directories. If you want to get an odd click or two, you will not go with a directory that is Alexa 3,000,000 
will you?

Finally someone is saying the right thing! Stick to submitting to relevant directories that will provide some sort of link juice. Back in the day I’ve had my mass directory submission done and it only hurt me in the Serps.

I am lucky I’ve been too lazy to do mass submissions but I cannot say I wasn’t tempted to do so when I had less experience.

Submitting our links to the directories that has the page Rank high will provide you the back links.

egb, how many directories with PageRank in their subcategories you know? Theoretically you are right but practically, I wouldn’t waste too much time submitting to directories. Luckily, there are more effective ways to build links!
