SnapNames and Register.Com Traffic Domain Auction
filed in Domain Sales on Aug.16, 2008
Hurry, if you are interested in some nice domains with traffic, SnapNames and Register.com hold an auction. You have to register before August 19, 2008 to take part yet some auctions expire before that. So make sure you don’t miss out.
To take your part in bidding, you will have to sign up for SnapNames account (how naughty of me, you are probably a senior member with SnapNames) , then go to https://www.snapnames.com/download.jsp to download the auction list and if you like some of the domain names, click on My Auctions and click on “Search for more names”, type in the domain you want and click search. Then tick the name and add it to your cart. Watch the auction and increase your bid if it feels right.
At the moment it seems that the Register.com auction will be dominated by short make-no-sense domain names again. So what do we have on the list? Many bidders are interested in iwot.com, npim.com, phtc.com, lplaw.com, safrin.com. The starting bid on most of these domain names is $99. Now you see why life is a challenge for a domain appraisal expert?
The traffic level is usually very low (Alexa 8,000,000 to even Alexa 20,000,000). One domain name that caught my eye was wikispot.com. Already 10 bidders have expressed their interest. This domain name could easily be sold for more than $1,000.

Thank you for the alert! I will surely grab something for me.
Gosh, those four-letters! It is appalling. I hope the bubble bursts soon.
