The last Google Pagerank update saw many web directories falling out of favour. It seems that Google really wants to fight with senseless bunches of urls. The biggest fall affected 4ppl.com, blogernity, poly-web. Even DMOZ felt the drop.

Many web people are happy about DMOZ falling from PR9 to PR8 because in the recent years this resource has really lost its shine. With a Pagerank drop also comes a certain drop in the traffic this out-dated directory receives. However, I would like to mind that the drop in PR and decrease in traffic is not correlated. There are high-PR sites with no traffic and low PR sites buzzing with visitors. Anyway, well deserved!

4ppl.com lost from Page Rank 5 down to zero; blogernity fell from PR7 to 4; poly-web directory enjoyed another zero drop from 4 to 0 and to make bad worse - it was also removed from Google index. Wonder why is that? Administration problems - they link to anything, even spammy sites. Just ask and they’ll link to you.

Wondering what are the other web directory Page Rank drops? Here they are:
