In the recent shareholder meeting at Yahoo headquarters, the major shareholders supported the current lineup and course of company management.

76% of all Yahoo shareholders said YES to Roy Bostock and his team. They also stressed that the much anticipated deal between Yahoo and Microsoft didn’t quite work out because of Microsoft’s fault.

Obviously the takeover bid had been way too low to meet shareholders’ expectations. The Microsoft side of the story says that Y! interprets the situation incorrectly and “tries to rewrite the history”.

In the end, if you read between the lines, Yahoo has made it clear that it may be for sale but would give in only for a decent, really decent, sum of money. In fact, if Microsoft loses this deal, their future is somewhat doomed. Unfortunately (although I personally quite like it), MSN web site is not really a top fly - magic is still missing.
